Who am I?

My name is David A. Nyberg II BSEE

Hopefully You’ll let me be your instructor in your quest to learn Electronics!

F.Y.I…

I was born almost 40 years ago on a U.S. Army base in Germany to two loving parents.  When I was 16 years old I decided I wasn’t getting enough out of High School, graduated early by testing out and joined the Army myself as a 31V10 (31 victor 10) which is a Secret Tactical Communications Operator Mechanic!

Up to the point I joined the Army I was always fascinated by Electronics and how different components work together in circuits to make a design work and more importantly how to be able to create my own designs.

With a little hard work on my part by the time I was Honorably Discharged from the Army I had enough education under my belt to really strike out in the world of electronics.  So my first job after my discharge was with Motorola Communications in Miami Florida where I learned all there was to know about the commercial side of two-way radio technology.

To make a very long story short, after many successful and lucrative jobs in the electronics industry I finally settled on design engineering as my passion and forte’.

So you can better understand the scope of my skills and experience I have decided to include my current resume for you to look over.

Introducing…

GOAL:              To return to work as an electronics engineer or project manager

HISTORY:         PRESENT: January 2002 to August 2002

Senior Member Technical Staff of Flextronics Intl’ Inc

Hardware Engineering and Design Department. (SMTS-HW)   Based in Richardson Texas at the Commerce Design Center, I served as a Senior, Professional, Electronics Hardware Engineer and project manager for Flextronics and excelled in all my endeavors and assignments.  Near the end of my tenure in August 2002 just prior to my resignation for personal reasons I was hand picked to manage 8 troubleshooting technicians that were flown in from Colorado and Brazil and 4 of my engineering colleagues to “rescue” a multi-million dollar telecom production project from disaster in the manufacturing plant that was the property of a major telecom corporation.

Senior Hardware Engineer   September 2000 to January 2002

DNA Enterprises Inc. (www.dnaent.com), an electronics-consulting firm of 100 software and hardware design engineers. September 2000 to January 2002 until the company closed its doors due to the decline of the technical business market.

Among my many assignments I participated on such projects as a multi-million dollar, high-speed, OC-48, TELECOM design for a local start up company.  The design was for an ADM system that sat on a SONET metro fiber optic ring and served the connected end clients with various formats of voice and data at various rates with managed QOS and bandwidth allocation control with an upgrade path to OC-192.

I also served on a military weapons project that involved the video for a missile system. There were many other such design projects.

In January 2002 the majority of the design team (25 hardware and software engineers including myself) were “sold” to Flextronics Intl’ Inc. (www.flextronics.com).   This 16 billion dollar a year electronic manufacturing company decided to break into the electronics design business in order to fulfill their new business model for becoming a “full service” electronic manufacturing and design corporation.

In order to accomplish this they needed a working design group so they purchased the DNA Enterprises Inc. design group, which included a select core group of the best talent. I made the cut and was awarded full tenure as a Senior Member Technical Staff of Flextronics Intl’ Inc.
